    The tutorial also includes instructions on how to carefully remove the locs without damaging them, allowing them to be reused for future installs.

  • The number of locs needed for a full install varies depending on factors such as your hair density and how full you want the final look to be.

    On average:

    • Low to medium density hair: approximately 45–55 locs will complete a full, balanced install.

    • Thicker density hair: typically 55–65 locs are needed for full coverage.

    For BohoHaus Locs Luxe, the added loose curls create additional volume, so around 50 locs is usually enough for a standard full install.

    These numbers are general recommendations and may vary from person to person. Each loc measures approximately 0.6 cm in diameter, roughly the width of a small pencil.
